One page, one query

In 2026 Google still ranks a page for a specific intent: one main query, one answer, one goal (click to an offer, lead, signup). Mixing three topics on one URL blurs the signal for people and algorithms. Phrase the query the way a person types it, not as the offer's internal code.

Content for people, not for robots

Helpful content is part of core ranking: the text must truly answer the question, not stuff keywords. E-E-A-T is not footer boilerplate — it is who wrote it, whether numbers were checked, and real usefulness. An AI draft is fine if an editor checks facts and adds first-hand experience.

Money: search and the offer

SEO does not pay per impression. Income comes when someone from search clicks your link and the action is confirmed (or they buy your product). Count clicks in Search Console, tagged visits and conversions in the tracker. A page with no CTA and no offer link is traffic without a monetization model.

Google Search Console shows queries, clicks and whether URLs are indexed. In 2025–2026, reporting for AI Overviews visibility is growing — read it next to classic clicks. Before scaling, one page should be indexed with no coverage errors.

Major core updates (December 2025, March and May 2026) reassess site quality as a whole. Spam updates hit link spam, hidden text and mass doorways. Discover had its own core update in February 2026 for the Discover feed. For AI Overviews and AI Mode Google states the same SEO fundamentals apply — no special AI markup or required llms.txt.
